Reading Goals
Produce complete sentences when appropriate to task and situation in order to provide requested detail or clarification. Ask and answer questions about what a speaker says in order to clarify comprehension, gather additional information, or deepen understanding of a topic or issue. Compare and contrast two or more versions of the same story (e.g., Cinderella stories) by different authors or from different cultures. Describe how reasons support specific points the author makes in a text.

Math Goals
-Understand that in adding or subtracting three-digit numbers, one adds or subtracts hundreds and hundreds, tens and tens, ones and ones; and sometimes it is necessary to compose or decompose tens or hundreds. -Partition circles and rectangles into two, three, or four equal shares, describe the shares using the words halves, thirds, half of, a third of, etc., and describe the whole as two halves, three thirds, four fourths. Recognize that equal shares of identical wholes need not have the same shape.

-Understand animal life cycles. -Summarize the life cycle of animals including: Birth, Developing into an adult, Reproducing, Aging and death -Compare life cycles of different animals such as, but not limited to, mealworms, ladybugs, crickets, guppies or frogs.

Announcement
Effective Monday April 7, we will only allow reusable water bottles with spouts in our classroom. We have had many spills with plastic bottles. Please do not send in these bottles with tops. They will not be allowed on desks.
