Anthony Madrigal Technology Problem Statement Technology is undoubtedly responsible for unparalleled advancement in all facets of life.

However, it also brings with it many consequences via personal security, employment instability, and the modification of nature. Perhaps, one of the most widespread issues technology presents though is the deterioration of productivity. Because technology is so prevalent, its accessibility is dangerously threatening to society, especially youth. Naturally, children are growing up in a very technology-saturated culture and as a result, technological dependency very subtly, slowly evolves into powerful social, academic, and emotional setbacks. A mere attachment, eventually progresses into laziness, shortened temper, lack of drive, and even obesity. The fact is that we as a culture must recognize this impediment of technology, and actively seek to resist it. I plan to write an argumentation speech that explores the effects of technological dependency and how to avoid it for the benefit of both current generations and those that will ensue.

Questions: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. Who are the victims of technological dependency? How do people develop addiction? What are some emotional and social effects? What are effective solutions to help eliminate such reliance? Can the government or other official establishments help to regulate this?
