MOTION OF PROJECTILE

Projectile motion is a form of motion in which an object or particle (called a projectile) is thrown obliquely near the earth's surface, and it moves along a curved path under the action of gravity only. The path followed by a projectile motion is called its trajectory. Projectile motion only occurs when there is one force applied at the beginning of the trajectory, after which there is no force in operation apart from gravity. Procedure of analysis 1. Establish the fixed x y coordinate axes and sketch the trajectory of the particle. Between any two points on the path specify. 2. The particle initial and final velocities should be represented in terms of their x and y components. 3. The sign of positive and negative position, velocity and acceleration components always act in accordance with their associated coordinate direction Figure Motion Of Projectile
