Ketinting

ORIGIN Teng-teng, also known as Ketinting is a traditional children's game. However, children who play this game are mostly girls. In olden days, the boxes are drawn on the ground using only the tip of a branch. HOW TO PLAY Before the game starts, players must vote on who will go first and so on. This can be determined by using a simple method called lai lai tam Plong. -To start the game, the first player should throw a stone or a marble into the first box. -Then, the player will have to jump on each box except for the first box. Players are required to jump into boxes using one leg only, but if there is a box next to another box, the player must jump into the boxes using both of their legs. When the player reaches the second box again, the player has to pick up the stone, which is still in the first box and then only they are able to step on the first box which is how the player ends his or her first level. -Once the first player is done with the first level, the player continues on with the second level and so on. The second level is almost similar except that this time the stone is thrown to the second box and the player will not jump on the second box only. -The other levels use the same concept as well. -A player loses his or her turn if the stones they threw are not able to get into the box they want. Players are also considered dead if their legs touch the lines or the marble is accidentally moved when the players were jumping about. -The winner of this game is the player who collected the most house point.
