Center Journal, Test Taking Strategies Booklet, Construction Paper prepped and ready to distribute to students Procedures: 1. Teacher will hand out pink colored construction paper to 10 preselected students. 2. Teacher will instruct students wit pink colored construction paper to make a large circle around the classroom. Students will take their construction paper, test booklet and pencil with them. 3. Teacher will tell students that students with pink colored paper will remain stationary during this entire lesson. 4. Teacher will distribute green colored paper to the remaining-10 preselected students. 5. Teacher will instruct students will green paper students that they will rotate in a clock wise manner each time they hear the word, rotate. 6. Teacher will tell the class they are only to do one problem each rotation. 7. Class will complete 10 rotations *Note: All students will be required to write step-by-step directions on how they solved each problem. Introduction/Objective: Teacher will review the practice CRT with students in small groups Review: Common Core Card Guided Practice: Teacher will review questions 30-33 in mock CRT test booklet, at meet the teacher center. - Expression Multiplication -Subtraction - Multiplication -Greater> Less/ Fractions Independent Practice: 1.) Fractions 2.) Array Multiplication 3.) Test Taking Strategies- Partners Homework: Practice Worksheet Closing: Students will share how they solved a particular problem from their test booklet.
