A Peek at Our Week:
Reading: We will begin a project-based learning unit to study genres of literature. Math: We will start a unit on geometry.

Writing: We will turn our prove it statements into a research book about butterflies. Science/Social Studies: We will start a unit on how laws are made.
Sound Check:
We will be reviewing long vowels. The students will complete their 3 quarter language assessment over this years sight words and some family words.

Homework Help:
When you share books with your children, they are learning to think and act like good readers. You can help them get even more from reading time when you talk to them as you read. Children learn when they make connections between what they hear and what they know. One method you can use to help make these connections is called a think aloud, where you talk through your thoughts as you read.
