    To resize an image in 4 steps: 1) Open the image size menu and change the width to 1920 while leaving the height to automatically adjust. 2) Open the canvas size menu and change the height to 1080 while turning off relative sizing. 3) This will shrink the canvas equally from the top and bottom to fit the new size. 4) Save the image and the resizing is complete.

    4 steps to image resize: 1.

    Image > image size

    2. Change the width to 1920 (note the height will be 1083, but dont worry). Then press okay.

    3. image>canvas size

    4. Change the height of the new size to 1080. Make sure the relative option is not on. You can see the canvas will shrink equally from top and bottom.

    Save. Done.
