REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

Water Pump

Release the clamp. Remove the hose.

Removal and Installation 1. Drain the engine cooling system. For additional information, refer to Cooling System Draining, Filling and Bleeding in this section. Remove the accessory drive belt. For additional information, refer to Section 303-05. 7. 3. Remove the fan shroud and fan blade assembly. For additional information, refer to Section 303-03. Remove the belt idler pulley. Disconnect the lower radiator hose at the water pump. 1 2 Release the clamp. Remove the hose.

8. 5. Slide the water bypass hose clamp back.

Remove the water pump pulley.

9. Remove the water pump. 10. NOTE: Use metal surface cleaner and a suitable plastic or wooden scraper to clean the sealing surfaces. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
