To the Faculty and Administration of Sierra Nevada College: I am writing this letter on behalf of Dr.

King and toward his promotion to associate professor. This letter addresses his advising. Dr. King has been my advisor for two years now. My experience with Dr. King at Sierra Nevada College has been very helpful to my progress as a student and to the pursuit of obtaining my bachelors in psychology. This has been fulfilled through the organization of my classes including the days, times and options communicated by him each semester. He is reliable and readily available through email and being able to conference at my convenience. His professionalism is shown in the quality of his advising and knowledge of the course catalog. His knowledge has guided me especially in the aspect of being a transfer. A transfer student brings an extra challenge to an advisor, in which Dr. King has met with care an detail to my past and future schedule. My previous college advisor, at another institute, required online appointments weeks in advance and had no preparation of their own before hand. Thus my appreciation for the improvement in advising from Dr. King. The overall relationship with Dr. King as an advisor as well as a teacher has influenced, without exaggeration, my core beliefs.
