Figure 11.7 shows the dimensions of the gear tooth.

When you sketch a tooth, the first step is sketch a centerline, then with the "line" feature draw a isosceles trapezoid, to set the inclination of the sides, use the features Smart dimension, click two sides the inclined line and horizontal line, it will obtain the angle between two lines. Use Linear pattern/ Circular Pattern to create all gear teeth from one single tooth. To do this select the cylinder face, input 360 for the angle, set the pattern number to pattern 22, and under features to pattern, select the tooth, as shown in figure 11.8.
