My name is Danta Steele and I am a senior at Atwater High School. I love being a student at Atwater high school. This school has changed me so much. After my freshman year this school made me reali!e that grades are really important. I started out a little rough my freshmen year but they told me that it was o"ay if I made up for it. It was hard at first but I managed to do it successfully. Since the middle of my sophomore year I managed to maintain a #.$ or higher. My goal now that I%m a senior is to &oin the military. I chose this profession because I grew up with many of my family members being in the military and this greatly influenced my decision. 'eople at my middle school didn%t believe in me or thin" I could get good grades. This challenged forever changed me and gave me the motivation to succeed and prove them wrong. This is the primary reason I decided to change the mista"es I made my (reshmen year. I was also able to handle playing sports for Atwater High School which I en&oyed very much. I want a &ob)career that will help people and our this country so I thought military would be the best way to accomplish that goal. I%ve been tal"ing to recruiters of

all branches to see which one I will fit best with. I%ve decided on the *avy because most of my family members &oined the navy and told me that the navy is the best branch with the best opportunities. I need to first get a high score on the AS+A,. The higher my AS+A, score the better &ob I will get in the military. I%ve been studying so that I can be prepared when test time comes.
