PUBLIC NOTICE

The National Infrastructure Development Company Limited (NIDCO) in partnership with the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure wishes to advise motorists that the link road between the Diego Martin Highway and the Diego Martin Main Road opposite Victoria Gardens, will be closed to traffic effective Sunday 6th April, 2014. This is to facilitate the ongoing Diego Martin Highway Expansion Project. The following alternative traffic arrangements will be put in place for motorists heading south on the Diego Martin Highway: Motorists who wish to turnaround and travel north towards Diego Martin should continue south and make the U turn opposite the Powder Magazine Phase 1 Housing Development. For safety reasons, motorists will no longer be allowed to proceed west on the WMR from this turnaround. Motorists who wish to head west on the Western Main Road (WMR) towards Glencoe and Carenage should proceed south to the WMR and continue east on the WMR to Mucurapo Road. During peak hours (6:30 am to 8:30am), the turnaround can be made by proceeding east along Mucurapo Road, turning left to head north on Luckput Street and left again to head west on WMR. Outside of peak hours, this turnaround can be made on to the Audrey Jeffers Highway opposite the Cocorite Fishing Complex. Please note that these arrangements are already in place.
