Crusader
Chronicle
March 2014

Welcome to our first ever Crusader Chronicle where it will keep you updated with all the latest news from all the events in the Brampton Crusader Calendar, therefore let me commence March the 14th will go down as a historic date for the Brampton Crusaders, as it was witness to the very first event, and what a day it was. After a long awaited winter of wet, wet, wet weather The Shire London played the host to a fantastic day with the weather playing a supporting role in a glorious early spring day. With the Sun beating down twelve crusaders, although nearly ten, due to two missing the M25 turn off, were blown away by the course/clubhouse that greeted them and the welcome that was on offer by the staff and this continued out on the course as we were treated to our own human course guide offering advice, that was rarely executed. green I thought this was the ideal time to ask all crusaders to count all water balls for a special prize. The course was amazing and played superbly well and the final scores reflected what a tough task it was to be tamed. The final hole, the signature S shaped water surrounded the 18th green certainly claimed many crusaders victims finding the water. The entertainment still hadnt finished as we were treated, maybe not, to a striptease by a fellow crusader who was promptly fined for this in the presentation that followed, plus many others for varying behaviour on the course inc. someone who won a nearest the pin on a par 3 only to finish with a 6, thats right a 5 putt*. Shocking! However I cant use that word to sum up the day as for the first ever Crusader event it certainly was a day to remember.
