Specification 1001: Assembly Proof Test

The Assembly Proof Test is a non-destructive hydrostatic pressure test of the hose assembly. The hose assembly is filled with water and then subjected to an internal pressures equivalent to 50% of the specified minimum burst pressure of the hose assembly. The hose assembly is subjected to the internal pressure for a minimum of 5 minutes. During this time there shall be no indication of coupling slippage, pressure loss, coupling ejection, cover blisters, cover splits, leakage, or any other visible signs of failure. Note: Parameters of this test may vary to comply with a governing industry or regulatory standard.
