12: Tenorio the Villain DEFINITIONS:


Villain: in a novel, movie or play, a character whose evil actions or motives are important to the plot. Also, a character who opposes the hero and does bad things. Similar words: criminal, lawbreaker, crook, felon, and anti-hero. Ex: In the movie The Dark Knight, The Joker is a villain whose evil actions go against (or thwart) Batmans heroic actions. Antagonist: the character, in novels, who is an enemy or opponent of the main character. Similar words: opponent, enemy, rival, contender, and competitor. Ex: in the novel Bless Me, Ultima, Tenorio is the antagonist because he is an enemy of Antonio and Ultima.
