I am seeking a career in a communications department within the hospitality industry. I hope to practice skills I have gained through experience and education. As a student in Louisiana State Universitys Manship School of Mass Communication, I have gained numerous skills. I am an organized, dedicated and professional team player, which makes me the ideal candidate for a position in the communication field. During my summer public relations internship at Beau Rivage Resort & Casino, with MGM Resorts International, I had the opportunity to develop public relations and management skills. I worked extremely hard to accomplish all tasks given to me in an organized and professional manner. At the end of the program, I was awarded the Star Intern award of the summer. Tasks included media outreach, coordinating media stays, and community outreach. The all-around development Beau Rivage has given me has prepared me for a position in the hospitality industry. As a senior, I contributed to a group campaign for LSU Health Baton Rouge. As a team, we collaborated and executed a campaign. My group and I successfully coordinated and held an event, celebrating LSU Health Baton Rouges legacy. We worked to raise awareness in the community, by community outreach and establishing connections with the media. My group and I worked diligently, as a team, on this campaign throughout the semester. Currently, I am the Communications Coordinator for Rebel Graphix, a full-service sign and stamp company. Tasks include assisting in the rebrand and running all social media platforms for the company. I have successfully created and implemented greater brand visibility for the company on social media. These practical skills are valuable in a communications position. Throughout my collegiate career, I have gained hands on communication experience.
