CISPR
Formed in 1934 It has no regulatory authority

But, when adopted by govt. it became a national

standard In 1985 CISPR adopted new set of emission standards

for IT equipment (Digital ELectronics)

CISPR
Many European countries adopted these requirements as their national standard US, as a voting member, voted in favor of new standard These put pressure on FCC to adopt same standards Therefore, limits of CISPR become the international standard

SUSCEPTIBILITY
In August 1982 US Congress amended the communication act of 1934 to give FCC authority to

and systems not on devices that are used outside home.

GRADE 1 (1V/m)

GRADE 2 (3V/m)
GRADE 3 (10V/m)

MILITARY STANDARDS
Issued by US department of defense (DOD) MIL-STD This standard is more strict than FCC standard because they cover susceptibility as well as emission

and the frequency range of 30 Hz 40 Hz
