Vacation Scholarship applications now open!

Scholars will have the opportunity to work for 8 to 10 weeks, during the summer break (2011-2012), on research projects with COFS researchers and PhD students. This opportunity is aimed at those undergraduate students in their 3rd or 4th year in Civil Engineering with a good academic record who wish to explore the possibility of further study after finishing their degree. Areas currently being investigated include: Ca sso & s Caisson skirted ted foundations ou dat o s Anchor systems Pipeline systems CPT to spudcan design Soil characterisation studies Structure-soil interaction and reliability Behaviour of jack-up units

The scholarship provides $800 per week tax t airfare to Perth from a capital city within Australia.
