DESIGNER WRITER photographer

Dear Liz Cooke,

In college, Ive made it a point to study audiences. As a student in both mass communication and graphic design, Ive learned that all forms of communication, whether written or visual, whether a newspaper or a greeting card, must be informed by who or what it is appealing to. My awareness of an audience combined with my mass communications and graphic design experience would make me a valuable member of your team, and I believe we could both benefit if I were to be given an internship position at Lionheart Prints. When I was younger, I created a weekly newsletter on my parents desktop computer that Id carefully fold and address to my relatives. I found a love for hand-crafted products and journalism then, and the passion for graphic design came later when a high school teacher introduced me to the Adobe Creative Suite. Now, I love the thrill of a new typeface, but Ive become even more interested in learning how to create type by hand. Hand-drawn typography like that of your greeting cards is a craft of its own that fascinates me. With this in mind, I would love to be considered for an internship position with Lionheart Prints. I would love to be a part of the work that you do. Thank you for your consideration, Cherie LeJeune
