Why do i want to pursue this career

building something great, and seeing it stand the test of time has always been a dream of mine. i thought why not do a profession that allows me to do so.

Job description
As a civil engineer, i would plan, design and manage construction projects.

working 35 to 40 hours a week either in a office or project site.

Managing large budgets and project resources.

high school studies required

To be a civil engineer you have to be interested in design and function. also in high school you should have taken some type of advanced math, and physics. Also you must be proficient in english and comprehension.

Bachelor degree in civil engineering

At most four year colleges a bachelors degree in Civil applied engineering will take you four years to complete if you stay on track with your work.
With this degree you can jump out into the work force making a great living for yourself. But if you want to take your education further you can stay in school for an extra two years you can earn your masters degree in civil applied engineering. *note not required to become a licensed civil engineer.
