Economy

Brazil has one of the largest economies in the Americas and is the largest in South America. Brazils most common agricultural exports today are coffee, soybeans, wheat, rice, corn, sugarcane, cocoa, citrus and beef. Brazil has tons of natural resources which include iron ore, tin, aluminum, gold, phosphate, platinum, uranium, manganese, copper and coal.

Portuguese is the most spoken language. More 180 native languages are spoken. Brazil has the largest amount of Catholics.

Government
Brazil is governed under the 1988 constitution as amended. The president, who is elected by popular vote for a four-year term, is both head of state and head of government. The president may unilaterally intervene in state affairs. Brazil is democratic republic. The current president is Dilma Rousseff.
