Source: Google Webmasters Author information in search results

Google is piloting the display of author information in search results to help users discover great content. Example:

Step 1: On the <meta> section in all documents add following:


<!-- Author/Publisher --> <link rel="publisher" href="" /><!-- Company's g+ --> <link rel="author" href="?rel=author" /><!-- Owner's g+ --> <link rel="canonical" href="" /><!-- Company's g+ --> <!-- End -->

On <link rel=author>, add the owners google+ and suffix ?rel=author (without the quotes).

Step 2: (as google stated) On the <body> section, look for the appropriate content to put the hyperlink <a href=owners google+[?rel=author]>CONTENT</a> Example:

<a href=https://plus.google.com/105557080215484477251?rel=author target=_blank>Click 4 Corp </a>

The example above is Mr. Dakas personal google+ URL that contains a parameter ?rel=author. If it is missing (parameter), google won't be able to associate the content with Mr. Dakas Google+ profile. Step 3: Reciprocal Link 1. Sign in as the authors google+ profile. Go to google+. 2. Open: https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/1408986?hl=en 3. Click the Contributor to Section as encircle on the image below.

4. Once clicked, the authors profile will popped this:

Click the Add Custom Link of the following: Label Company name URL Clients Live Site/Domain Then, Save it. 5. Request for publishing the site. 6. Once published, we need to test the Structure if the authorship has carried over/the update takes effect. We can accomplished this by: a. Sign in as the authors google+ profile. b. Open: https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/1408986?hl=en c. Click Structured Data Testing Tool as shown below:

d. Once clicked, we can now test the data we updated for the particular clients site. Just shown below:

e. And the result will look something like this:
