North Lanarkshire Council in Scotland chose Civica's Tranman fleet management solution to improve efficiencies, reduce costs and administration. The implementation will transform fleet management through touchscreen technology in workshops and barcode readers in stores for improved productivity and stock control. Drivers and departments will access fleet information online like maintenance histories and vehicle details through self-service web applications 24/7 without contacting the fleet department directly. Further efficiencies will come from integrating document storage and financial systems to reduce double data entry and provide key stakeholders increased visibility of financial data.

North Lanarkshire Council is set to see improved efficiencies plus reduced administration and costs after choosing Civicas
Tranman fleet management solution.
9th April 2014, London: The council who operate a large fleet of over a 1000 mixed assets have chosen the market leading Tranman system after a robust tender evaluation process. The project will transform the way the fleet is managed, with the implementation of touchscreen technology to improve workshop productivity and bar code readers in the stores department designed to improve efficiency and the accuracy of stock control. Self-service web applications for vehicle enquiries, defect entry, vehicles in the workshop and maintenance history will allow drivers and council departments to access fleet information online 24 hours a day, without having to contact the fleet department directly. Further efficiencies will be achieved by implementing Civica Tranmans document and image management module ensuring important operational and compliance documentation is stored securely and is available to all staff no matter where they are based. Tranman will be providing electronic financial interfaces into the authorities key corporate systems and from their fuel monitoring systems. Integration with these systems will reduce administration time and effort by preventing double entry of data and provide increased visibility of key financial data to customers and other key stakeholders. -EndsNotes to Editors: The Civica Group (www.civica.co.uk) is an international market leader in specialist IT systems and business process services for the public sector and other related business sectors.
