Product Model Subject Scope

1. Purpose - To inform All ASCs of information about Technical Tip. 2. Symptom: on a performing Software check on device, (*#1234#), the message Unknown is displayed* next to the Phone part (* instead of SW version details.)

Instead of SW version details next to PHONE:, the device will display Unknown

3. Instruction - If ASC receives a repair case where, after checking the Software Versions inside the phone, the message Phone: Unknown, is displayed on the screen check below next: 1) Check RFIC (U100) of cosmetic damage, i.e. look for a crack. (See following picture for location) 2) If there is any damage on the chip, replace it.
