Gravity ! By Molly!

I claim that gravity affects the orbit of a planet. To start off, in a computer simulation, Phet, we got to play around with gravity and the orbit of planets. There was a button you could click that changed whether or not there was gravity. When the gravity was not on, the planet did not orbit in a circle, instead the planet went off the screen. If you increase the mass of the sun, the planet's orbit gets closer to the sun. In conclusion, that shows how gravity affects the orbit of planets. ! I claim there is gravity even though I can not directly see it with my eyes. On Phet, the planets orbit the sun how they are supposed to orbit. If there wasn't any gravity (because in Phet you have the ability to turn off the gravity), you would be able to tell because as you would watch the screen, the planet would be moving off the screen. To wrap it all up, that is an example that tells you that gravity is important.! I claim gravity changes based on the size of the planets you are looking at. To begin, on Phet you Jupiter needs a stronger can change the size of planets. The more mass, gravitational pull than Earth. the closer the orbit gets to the sun. The smaller mass, the farther away the orbit is. A bigger planet needs a stronger gravitational pull to control the planet.
