1807 N. Fitzhugh Ave. apt 202 Dallas, Texas 75204 E-mail: fkb090020@utdallas.edu Phone: 469-777-9621 February 24, 2014 Dallas ISD Dallas District 3700 Ross Avenue Dallas TX 75204-5491 To Whom It May Concern: As I was searching for a job opportunity as a teacher, I came to cross your announcement. I am very interested in joining your organization. I am currently seeking for a middle school position in mathematics. I am fluent in English and Spanish and I am sure that I can help your ESL students understand the content. With the application, I have submitted my resume and additional information. As you can see in my resume, I graduated from The University of Texas at Dallas with a bachelors degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. I also obtained a teacher certificate from UTeach Dallas program; the certificate allows me to teach any mathematics grade from 4th- 8th. You can also note that this will not be my first time teaching a classroom, in the past years I have been trained by the UTeach Dallas, department. This department teaches us how to write lesson plans for students in elementary, middle school, and high school. This program sends its students out to different schools to teach in a normal classroom. With all these experiences I know that I have the ability to be a great, professional teacher. I have all of what a teacher needs: passion, skills, confidence, and most importantly knowledge. I proudly welcome the opportunity to meet with you for an interview to discuss my abilities and qualifications for this position. I thank you for the time you have taken to read my application. I really hope to hear a positive reply from you. Sincerely, Fanny Barrios
