    Preface
    Acid nitric is an important compound in industry of many countries.
    Nitric acid is used for a number of reasons which include production of fertilizers,
    oxidizing liquid-fuelled rockets, determining metal traces in solutions and
    artificially ageing maple and pine in woodwork. Nitric acid is also known as spirit
    of nitre or aqua fortis.
    Nitric acid is a highly corrosive and highly toxic acid. It is most commonly used in
    the production of fertilizers and is a predominant component of explosives as
    well. Nitric acid is also a highly important chemical component that is found
    within aqua regia, which is used for the production of gold.
    Now we will find out about producing and using acid nitric in industry and
    laboratories.
