1105 Lambeth Street, Thomasville, NC 27360

On Sunday, April 13, 2014, at 12:28 p.m., Thomasville officers responded to 1105 Lambeth Street in reference to a fight in progress. While responding to the call, officers received updated information that shots had been fired. Upon arrival, officers located Phillip Westley Lones, 26, of 1105 Lambeth Street, with a gunshot wound to his right shoulder. Lones father, Phil Alexander Lones, 48, of 1105 Lambeth Street, was charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury. The investigation revealed prior to the shooting, Phil Alexander Lones had physically assaulted his girlfriend, Lori Fox, 52, of 1105 Lambeth Street, and a fight between Phil and Phillip Lones ensued. The shooting occurred outside the residence on the front porch. Phil Alexander Lones was also charged with assault with a deadly weapon with minors present, assault on a female, and discharging a firearm in the city limits. Two children, ages one and six, were present at the home when the shooting occurred. Neither child received any injuries. Lori Fox declined medical attention on the scene while Phil and Phillip Lones were transported to Novant Health Thomasville Medical Center where they were treated and released. Phil Lones is currently held with no bond at the Davidson County Jail. Court date is set for April 30, 2014.
