What takes up of our planet and is something that we cannot live without?

Where water comes from

97% of the Earths water is found in the oceans as salt

water.

2% is stored as fresh water in glaciers, ice caps and snow covered mountains. Only 1% of our water is left for our daily supply of water

Daily Supply
Stored in the soil which is called an aquifer. Beneath the ground (ground water).

Lakes, rivers or streams (surface water).

Uses of Water
42% of water is used for agricultural uses.
39% is used for making electricity 11% is used in our homes and businesses.

The remaining 8% of water is used for manufacturing

and mining.
