To Whom it May Concern: I can enthusiastically recommend Carin Jordan for a teaching position in your school. Carin worked as a teacher at Winters Chapel United Methodist Church Preschool from 2010 until 2013 when she stopped to begin her practice teaching. Carin is well qualified for this position. She has an excellent understanding of child development. She has availed herself of Continuing Education classes every year during that time. Carin completed her first year of coursework toward her Master of Arts in Teaching while working at Winters Chapel UMC and taking care of her family. Carin was always prepared for her one and two year old classes each morning. She filled her classroom with developmentally appropriate activities. She continually researched new and innovative activities for students. I observed her teaching style and found she is very good at nurturing and differentiating instruction to the individual child. She established positive working relationships with the parents of children in her class and always received excellent evaluations from the parents. She has been missed this school year. Carin worked closely with several students (and parents) who had particular difficulty adjusting to school to develop effective transition strategies. She used innovative strategies like online language tools, art projects, and outdoor activities to manage transition challenges. She is straightforward, conscientious, punctual and dependable in carrying out her duties, in her attendance, and in her personal character. She works well with a variety of individuals and is a person of integrity. A strong team player, Carin was willing to substitute in other classrooms and participate in other school activities. Carin also spent many hours outside of school working on a project to renovate our courtyard garden including labor, supply purchase, grant procurements, and participation by parents and other classrooms. Carin is the consummate professional and you would be very lucky to have her on your staff. She puts in one hundred percent and is always successful in anything she undertakes. Sincerely,

Mary H. Trompeter Director, Winters United Methodist Church Preschool
