SAFETY METHOD STATEMENT

FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS MUST BE FOLLOWED DURING THE EXECUTION OF ABOVE PROJECT;
1.

On the first day of mobilization all workmen shall under go Safety Induction which will be
conducted by Air- BP. It is important not to change the people who have undergone Safety
Induction during the tenure of work at site.

2.

Strictly follow Emarat and BPs rules and regulations.

3.

Site Supervisor will conduct Safety Tool Box Talk every day prior to start the work and
highlight the safety issues.

4.

TS-SATS Representative will issue the work permit for all work on daily basis at 07.00 hrs.
Supervisor shall collect the same and renew it at 14.00 hrs. The work permit should be
returned to Emarat everyday after completion of the jobs for the day.

5.

Incase of any Hot work is required, then Hot work permit must be first obtained prior to
starting any hot work.

6.

Wearing of Hard Hat, Safety Glass, Coverall, and Safety shoes is mandatory at site. Also
comply with necessary Personal Protective equipments mentioned in the work permit.

7.

Smoking is Strictly Prohibited inside the terminal and any person violating the rule shall
be removed from work site immediately.

8.

Ensure all equipment / pipe lines are isolated prior the start the work.

9.

Erect staging as per job requirement with adequate access and hand rails. Comply with full
body harness while erecting / dismantling of staging.

10.

Carryout Load testing lifting beam by approved third party contractor as per client
instructions.

11.

Use right tools for dismantling the equipments.

12.

While removing and installing pumps follow NICO HSE procedure OHS-SOP-020 for
Rigging. Certified lifting tackles and lifting equipment must be used for rigging.

13.

Compressor should have valid certification for air receiver and the engine should have
flame arrestor fitted to it. Earthing should be provided in the park position.

14.

Ensure that access is clear all the time.

15.

Supervisor must ensure that at end of each day, work area is clear of debris and leave the
work place in tidy manner. Ensure good Housekeeping all the time.

16.

A standby Vehicle must be kept for emergency purpose.

17.

Follow Emarat Emergency Procedure in case of any emergeny arises.
