Even with just a few chords YOU can play great songs - here is a big list of great songs that gradually get harder as you progress through the Beginner's Course!

Easy songs for beginner guitar players...

At the early stages of learning guitar, many people get frustrated because they think the only songs they can play are Baa Baa Black sheep and other such dross... but it's not true! With just a few chords you can play some awesome songs and that is what my Beginner's Songbook is all about. :) It contains 10 songs that work for each Stage of the Beginners Course, starting with very easy 3 chord songs and gradually getting harder until you are using all your open chords (including F) and are exploring cool strumming patterns. If you are beyond that you might like to check out my series of Intermediate Sonngbooks. You will find that using the Songbook will make learning the songs a lot easier and there is a very wide range of styles to appeal to most tastes - so go have a look and see if you dig it. Listed here are the songs from it that I have made video lessons for and although I plan to do all the songs eventually, that is likely to take a few years as there are many areas of the site that need my attention! There is plenty to get you going here for sure, and you can still learn the songs from the songbook on your own too, there are plenty of tips and strum patterns shown to help you! I can only guess that he'd rather people didn't learn his songs. All things must pass I guess and perhaps it's better that his music and attitude stay in the past where it was revolutionary and relevant. Don't think many people care for anything he's done in the last 30 years, so I'm surprised he's not encouraging people like me to teach the good old stuff so he can flog his overpriced concert tickets and bleed every last drop of money he can into his estate before the old music industry dies. He has every right too I guess, perhaps he didn't see the Times A-Changin?... plenty more songs out there for us to learn y'know Bob. Me... bitter... naaahhhh ;) I love wasting time on video's that have to be removed. *2 Unfortunately we couldn't get a response from Trent Reznor's publishers to include it in the US edition of the songbook and because we want the same book available worldwide it had to go. Disappointing cos I love the song - but the video is still live on YouTube, just not in the paper book!
