Crunchy Asian Slaw

Slaw Ingredients: 1 (14 ounce) bag classic cole slaw mix (I like the kind with only green cabbage and carrots) 2 packages Raman Noodles - hicken !la"or 1 c# sli"ered almonds $ %bsp# butter Dressing Ingredients: 1 o& the chicken &la"or packets &rom the Ramen Noodles (use only 'N( o& the chicken packets# )iscard the other packet* or sa"e and use to throw in your water next time you make rice)# 2+$ c# ,egetable 'il 2 %bsp# Red -ine ,inegar 4 %bsp# .ugar 2 %bsp# .oy .auce 1 tsp# /lack 0epper In a large pan* place the $ %ablespoons butter and on medium heat* gently melt butter along with the sli"ered almonds# .tir &re1uently as you are 2ust gently toasting the almonds# /e sure you get the 3sli"ered almonds3 and not the 3sliced3 almonds# 'nce the almonds are gently starting to brown* break up the Ramen Noodles into bite-si4ed pieces* and add to the pan with the almonds (reser"e the chicken &la"or packets &or later* do not add this to the almonds)# .tir to combine the noodles* almonds and butter# 5ll you are doing at this point is gently warming the crunchy noodles# 'nce that has been accomplished* set pan aside* o&& the burner* so the noodles and almonds cool# Now to make the dressing# %ake only one o& the chicken &la"oring packets* and either discard the second packet* or set aside to use at another time# 6et out a 2ar with a tight &itting lid# %his is where those 7ason 8ars come in handy# 9o"e these guys# 5dd in the 'N( chicken &la"or packet#

%hen add the "egetable oil* red wine "inegar* soy sauce* sugar and black pepper# 0ut that tight &itting lid on there and shake it like :e"in did in !ootloose# ;ou really need to get all the chicken &la"or granules and sugar all mixed up and dissol"ed#.hake .hake .hake that bottle# 'nce you<"e &inished your dance mo"es* grab a nice large bowl* and toss in your cole slaw mix#Now toss your almond and crunchy noodles into your slaw# Now one more 1uick shake o& the bottle# 0our the dressing all o"er the slaw mix* and toss toss toss# .ometimes I actually use my hands and get in there and toss it all together to be sure e"erything gets well coated with the dressing# .er"e immediately# 'r* i& tra"eling to a potluck# 7ake dressing# Re&rigerate# 0ut Noodle+5lmond mixture in a container# Re&rigerate# 8ust be&ore ser"ing* combing slaw* almond mixture and dressing#
