Adjectives

Words that are used to describe nouns.

Formations of adjectives
Most of adjectives have no particular form or ending such as right, wrong, big, small, etc. However there are number of suffixes (endings which attached to the words) which can help you to understand the meaning of adjectives. -y : air (airy), cloud (cloudy), dirt (dirty). -ly : brother (brotherly), coward (cowardly). -like : childlike, god (godlike). -ish : child (childish), fool (foolish)

-ful : beauty (beautiful), care (careful). -able/ible : contempt (contemptible), division (divisible). Believe (believable), accept (acceptable) -less : aim (aimless), care (careless), hope (hopeless). -ive : administer (administrative), attract (attractive)

Participles as adjectives
-ing : amaze (amazing), amuse (amusing) -ed : amaze (amazed), amuse (amused)

Order of Adjectives If you have more than one adjectives, you should make it into this order.
