    Dear Dean, Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh. This is Maj Mohammad Rezaul Karim on behalf of Dean of Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST), Bangladesh writing you with an expression of interest of establishing Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between UBD and MIST. MIST is the pioneer technical institutes of Armed Forces of Bangladesh, started its journey from 19 April 1998. Within few years of establishment, this institute has proved itself as one of the Centers for Excellence in national education sector. At present this institute has six degree awarding Engineering Departments. We have total 1318 undergraduate students (1029 civilian students and 284 military officers, 5 foreign students). From 2012 this institute has started Masters Program and from October 2013 PhD Program in engineering disciplines. Now we have 114 postgraduate students. In 2015, MIST is opening its new campus in Bangladesh Military Academy to conduct the undergraduate program for the military officers of Bangladesh Army. At this moment we are looking for scope of establishing MoU with renowned international engineering universities/inetitute for mutual collaboration in study and research. According to our analysis we found UBD as one of the potential universities in these regards. In this regard if agreed in principle by UBD, a team of MIST ( 6/7 members ) faculties led by Dean of Faculty of Engineering wants to visit UBD during April 2014. In return we will also expect your representatives in our campus for further proceeding to our interests. We will be veryhappy to answer any query that you may have.
