    Kamehameha Schools is hosting an event called "Nä Momi Ho'oheno" as part of their Hawaiian Cultural Events Series to honor the late Mary Lou Kekuewa and Paulette Kahalepuna. The event will feature an oral history film about Mary Lou Kekuewa, one of Hawaii's great masters of feather work, and her daughter Paulette Kahalepuna. Paulette will also do a feather work demonstration. The event is on February 18, 2009 from 7-8:30 pm at the Ruth Ke'elikolani Performing Arts Center and is free and open to the public.

    The late Mary Lou Kekuewa, one of Hawaiÿi’s great masters of feather work
    and her daughter and protégé Paulette Kahalepuna are featured in this oral
    history film produced by Kaÿiwakïloumoku. Paulette will also be sharing her
    knowledge and artistry in a feather work demonstration. Come join us as we
    honor both mother and daughter who have dedicated their lives to this rare
    and delicate art form.
