Objective/Purpose:
The students will be able to identify the fraction and decimal given to them in the square grids.

Materials:
hite board! white board mar"ers! projector! notecards! pencils! erasers! and an individual white board for #lyssa.

The students will do the problem of the day and we will do (My favorite no) with them. e will then briefly tal" about what we did yesterday and how today builds off of that.

Presentation:
e are going to use models to show multiplication and division. *t will start with them getting a square split +, ways and then let-s say there-s . filled in. They first have to come up with the fraction &./+,' and then use the fraction to put it in the table and get the fraction as well &..'. They also will get a square split +,, ways with li"e .. colored in. Then they again come up with the fraction and then use the fraction to get a decimal. e will use the chart through this whole thing. e will do all this in whole group and then again go with the same concept for sage and scribe.

e will split them into groups for boss and pencil. Two will go to the board with Mrs. 0elley for e1tra support! and two will come to me at my des"s for e1tra support. e will watch them attempt the problems and offer any help they may need. *2ll provide any support they need! as well as offer positive reinforcement for them while they wor".

There will be a wor"sheet the students will be handed as the class ends to do on their own at home.

The students that need reteaching will be retaught during study hall on 3riday. 69ow7 hichever teacher is holding study hall will wor" with small groups on reteaching. 6Move to ne1t objective7 e will be moving onto the ne1t objective tomorrow. e will wor" on a little bit of review of what they learned today and then we will teach them the ne1t s"ill. 6 hat went well7 hen wor"ing with the students in groups of twos * get an understanding of which s"ills the students are struggling with and am able to offer one6on6one support to the students that need it. 6 hat should be revised/discarded and why7 * would have li"ed to see the students challenged more if we feel that they understand it. * would also li"e to see less boss and pencil. * feel that the students coast off of one another when they don2t understand something! and some of the pairs do not wor" well together. 6$id students meet the goals and objectives of the lesson7 :es! the students that * met with met the objectives of the lesson. 6 hat is your ne1t step or objective7
e will move on to the ne1t objective and continue the chapter on fractions.
