Augusta, Georgia- 2/20/2014- Enterprise Community Healthy Start, ECHS, part of the national Healthy Start Association located here in Augusta, has begun creating new marketing materials in efforts to help continue to build their brand, including but not limited to, the creation of a new logo. The federal Healthy Start program, now known as the National Healthy Start Initiative was initiated in 1991 as a five- year demonstration to help reduce infant mortality nationally, "promoting the development of community based maternal and child health programs." It has since expanded to a total of 105 federal healthy start projects throughout the nation, and since 1999 ECHS in Augusta has been making an impact on the lives of families, particularly woman and children, throughout local Burke and McDuffie counties.

Enterprise Community Healthy Start has been credited for having been the only county in Georgia that has successfully implemented the Fetal Infant Mortality Review which has allowed them to appropriate identify and address the issues within the prenatal health system. They also continue to make efforts to address issues such as teen pregnancy. As the organization embraces positive change and expansion, they will create new marketing materials consistent with these efforts said to be released within the year. This will give local Augusta a face to match up to the ECHS name. For more information contact Sandra Inglett at 706-555-5555.
