Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas: Strategic Risk Management/ Accounting Summer 2014 Internship I am a sophomore at University of Texas at El Paso

with a 3.52 average. I am seeking to major in Accounting by Spring 2016. I am a strong candidate for this internship position because I have prior knowledge to principles and the practices of business and accounting. I have taken prior accounting courses that have prepared me take on the responsibilities that this internship requires. My accounting classes have prepared me to be able to preform daily ledger postings as well as closing jobs, which is what the internship requires. I am able to analyze problems and inquiries as well as prioritize tasks. I work well under general guidance and take direction easily in an efficient matter. In my previous job at Dds retail store, we (the employees) had to take instructions from Manager and had to be able to fulfill those directions at the moment they were given (no matter what you were doing). Therefore I know the importance of following general guidance in the workplace. I am highly organized as well as detailed. I was the summer camp budget administer in which I had to be very organized and detailed by keeping all the receipts and calculating how much could be spent. I have strong writing skills as well as interpersonal skills. I am able to speak clearly and confidently enough to be able to communicate with all the levels of the support staff as well as to the upper-levels such as senior level executives. Being part of the Accounting Society has given me a first look on how important it is to communicate with your peers on a daily basis to be able to fulfill your responsibilities efficiently. I am proficient with the use of personal computers and skilled at using various software applications such as MS Word, Excel, Access, and Power Point. Ive taken varies computer workshops during High school and even College (such as typing courses, Microsoft, and even a computer programing beginners workshop). This would be a great learning opportunity and great experience. That would allow me to get a hands on look of the type of job I want to obtain once I graduate. I hope to be considered for this internship.
