House includes at least 7 rooms House has a kitchen, living room, bedroom, and bathroom All walls are 9' high All doorways are at least 3' wide All hallways are at least 4' wide Scale used is 1" = 4' A ruler must be used to draw the walls of the house on 1/4" grid paper Each room has a floor covering At least one room has laminate, one has linoleum, one has carpet. Each room has a wall covering At least one room has paint and one has paper Samples are included in each room Model matches the drawing All rooms are measured in inches to the nearest quarter of an inch Conversion from inches to feet is correct (1" = 4' so multiply inches by 4 to find feet) Area is given and figured correctly (A = L * W) Composite rooms have the area added together. ONLY SHOW TOTAL in the total column When figuring perimter make sure doorways are NOT included Use square yards to purchase carpet and linoleum PADDING must be included in the price of the carpet Use square feet to purchase laminate flooring Amount of paint needed in gallons and quarts is listed Rolls of wall paper needed are listed. Remember you cannot purchase a part of a roll (round up) Use AUTO SUM to figure the totals in each column Used colon : between cells to add a column Used comma , between cells to add any number of cells
