Job Summary:
We are seeking an individual who is well rounded in basic accounting and bookkeeping. We are offering a part time position at a commensurate pay level. Position reports to the Executive Director and the Board of Directors and will work with our Financial Secretary. Desired individual will have: ~Experience working in the non-prot setting ~An outgoing and friendly personality ~Demonstrates professionalism and tact in communications with a diversity of individuals ~Strong organizational and time management skills as well as acute attention to detail

Responsibilities !include but are not limited to":


~Accounting/bookkeeping duties, such as coding, recording, posting and processing day-to-day transactions. Processing accounts receivable, payable and payroll (Paychex). Maintaining and updating accounting records. ~All aspects of VCUM banking including internal deposits, bank deposits, record keeping and PayPal bank transfers. ~Summarizing current nancial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheets, prot and loss statements, and other reports. ~Working with the Executive Director to ensure that appropriate nancial reports are made available to the Board of Directors on a timely basis. Preparing reports as required. ~Assisting with budget preparation. ~ Being a liason with VCUMs CPA. ~Other responsibilities related to accounting/ bookkeeping to be discussed during interview.

Qualications:
~Financial knowledge of basic accounting/bookkeeping ~QuickbooksPro, Filemaker Pro, Mac computer & application experience (Word, Excel, etc) ~Non-prot accounting & banking practices ~Personal committment and exibility to perform duties listed above
