The Gladers are given all the necessities that they need for life in the Glade including things like tools, food, building materials, etc. They state that they sometimes make requests and sometimes they get the items and sometimes they dont. For example, they asked for a television and never received one. This makes sense because the Gladers have to be kept from any contact with the outside world. This means, no TVs, no radios, no newspapers, and no electronics that give them access to anything outside the Glade. Your assignment is to think of and find an item that the Gladers might ask for and receive. Since they are given the basic necessities, it doesnt have to be something that they need. It can be something that they use for recreation or enjoyment, or it can be something that you feel that the Gladers need or would make their life easier. Step 1: Select an item Step 2: Write a rationale about your selection. Make sure to include the following: Why did you choose the item How will the item benefit the Gladers Why would the Creators be willing to let the Gladers have the item?

Rationale must be a minimum of half a page, typed, with line spacing at 1.5. It needs to be 12pt Times New Roman font with 1in. margins. Step 3: Oral presentation. You will have to present the item you selected and your rational to the class.
