I am to stop working for my Danish employer and would like my holiday pay paid out
When you stop working for a Danish employer, you can have all your holiday pay paid out. This also applies even if you do not take a holiday. However, you must have applied for your holiday pay no later than six months after leaving the country. If the deadline of six months has been exceeded, you must: take your holiday or have a legitimate reason preventing you from taking your holiday during the holiday year. Please send us the following notifications. Then we will pay the money into your EasyAccount (NemKonto): your Danish Civil Registration Number (CPR nr.) your address the date of leaving your former employer confirmation that you have not received other public-sector benefits from Denmark. Your personal confirmation of this is sufficient. You can also have your holiday pay paid into a foreign account. Please send us the following: the name and address of your bank your account number (account holders name, if applicable) BIC/SWIFT code IBAN no. BSB code approx. six figures (if your bank is in Australia) Clearing Code if your bank is in the USA.
Please note that DKK 70 will be deducted in administration costs from the amount paid into your foreign account. Your own bank may also charge for the transaction. How do I set up my foreign account as a EasyAccount (NemKonto)? You can log on to www.nemkonto.dk to set up your foreign account as a NemKonto account. You can also contact SKAT (the Danish Tax and Customs Administration) on +45 72 22 18 18 for help with setting up the account.

If your employer has not paid in your holiday pay - the first thing you must do is to contact your employer in writing not later than 30 September. - If you are a member of a trade union you must contact your trade union for assistance. Generally, you earn 12.5 % of your wage/salary in holiday pay. Your employer deducts tax before your holiday pay is paid into FerieKonto. Have you not received a letter from FerieKonto? The reason may be that we do not have your current address. If you have moved, you must remember to report the change of address to the national register.
