Design an asynchronous control system that is to sort objects of two different widths. The objects are moving down a conveyer. Two photo sensors are positioned to determine the object widths. The outputs from the photo sensors produce inputs to the synchronous machine. Figure (a) for this problem shows the placement of the photo sensors with respect to the object. The distance between the two detectors is l. Objects come in two different widths, l + A and l A. the timing diagrams of both objects are provided in Figure (b).
