Technology is a ig !art of education no"adays# $ost veteran teachers tend to re%ect and &isuse the use of technology in the classroo&# The students' today have a dee!er understanding and are &ore engaged "hen they have the o!!ortunity to &ani!ulate and create# (o"ever) as I visit classroo&s "ith &y !osition) I still see &any teachers) not %ust veterans) "ho continue to direct teach in lecture for& to students# $any teachers fail to ta*e notice that no one is actually listening to the&) and at that &o&ent they should self+reflect as to "hy# This "ee*) one of &y ca&!uses "as fortunate to receive ,&art- .oards in every classroo&# This ne" ty!e of instructional technology !rovides teachers the o!!ortunity to facilitate learning and not direct it# ,tudents have the ca!a ility to &ove) dra") de&onstrate and e/!lain to their class&ates and thus !rovide &otivation for learning# 0s I visited this ca&!us) I "as very sur!rised that not &any had any e/!erience setting it u!# I "as a le to set u! several grade levels oards and did a 1uic* !rofessional develo!&ent on ho" to use the soft"are# I truly ho!e the use of this ne" resource "ill allo" teachers the fle/i ility and creativity "hen creating lessons# I also had an o!!ortunity to attend the North East I,D Ele&entary ,chool ,ho"case# This event "as !lanned in a centrali2ed location "here several ele&entary schools "ere invited to de&onstrate their !hysical education a ilities# Each of the ten schools selected t"enty students for each grade level including all their ,!ecial Education classes# Each grade level !erfor&ed their !iece in front of !arents) co&&unity &e& ers) teachers) and su!er intendant# It "as very fun to see ho" students e& raced the routines and tried their est during the !erfor&ances#

0lthough it "as a slo" "ee* due to ,!ring .rea* fast a!!roaching) I "as still a le to !rovide su!!le&ental training to teachers "ho did not !ass the first t"o sets of cali ration for TEL30,# This gave the teachers the code necessary to ta*e the test one last ti&e#
