TASK 2 In previous lessons, the nature of popular culture in Australia at the end of World War II, including music, film and sport has been a focus, as this has impacted on the national identity edified by Australians today. However, this didnt happen overnight and come about due to circumstances in a changing world. These changes, however disjointed and delayed, eventually made an impact on Australia. Using the information giving during this, and previous lessons, as well as through the use of information found on EDMODO, you will complete the table below, in order the gain an understanding of, and the ability to identify the main features of Australian popular culture since the end of World War II. At the conclusion of the task, you will be able to: 1. Briefly outline the key features of music, film, fashion and sport. 2. Name a key individual and how they contributed to particular aspects of popular culture, including music, film, fashion and sport. 3. State how and/or why this aspect of popular culture developed in Australia, with regards to music, film, fashion and sport. Be sure address the areas of music, film, fashion and sport in specific detail, so as to gain a broad scope understanding of these aspects of popular culture.
