What is the effect of revenue sources on financial reporting at the hospital?

The Patton-Fuller Community Hospital is full service, and for profit hospital. This hospital has wor ed hard to ma e its efforts to providing advanced care for patients for !oth inpatient and outpatient treatments. The PattonFuller Hospital is currently owned !y a !oard of "# mem!ers, and "$ of them our doctors. They have a !oard that wor s on all their !udgets for the hospital. The main goal is to ma e a profit and to provide patients with the !est care that is needed.

The effect of the revenue sources when it comes to the financial reporting within the hospital varies depending on the amount of revenue that is !eing generated at the time and the source of revenue. %ll revenue sources have to !e noted in the financial reports for the records of the hospital. &Telemedicine, $'"() When loo ing at the documents they provide us, it appears that the financial officer may have went over !y over estimating the payment in sum of money that was sent, it loo s li e they had a lot more then they really had. When they provided all the figures for the accounts receiva!le in $''* the financial officer figured a total amount of +,*,-.that is a net allowance that is poor de!t and at the same time at +"',-,the audited account is showing a completely different situation. The accounts receiva!les for $''* showed a total of +,.,-.- and this is

a one million dollar difference, the net for poor de!t is + "",-,that is a one million dollar difference &increase). The audited amount appears to show a !ig difference and also shows a two million dollar deficit, that would show in the unaudited section. When you have this ind of a difference it will !egin to fail.
