What is Healthy BR?

Healthy BR, launched in 2008, is an initiative of Mayor-President Melvin L. Kip Holden to communicate, coordinate, and collaborate around our Citys health priorities. These priorities were established through a Community Health Needs Assessment that involved over 40 partner organizations. These priorities were narrowed down to four that drive Healthy BRs action plans today: obesity, overutilization of emergency departments, HIV, and mental health. This brochure will walk through the different parts of the obesity component of Healthy BR.
