France, somewhat neglected in our last regular isue, is by way of compensation well covered in this issue, with several articles, an interview with Lucinda Childs, and a retrospective of the entire past season, Germany is also well represented with articles ‘on Berlin and Munich and an interview with director Christine Meilitz. There are also reports from Stockholm, Salzburg, wrapping up the Peter Stein era there, and London, including our second report on the CORRECTIONS: For our speci new Globe theatre there. ur fall issue will provide information on spring productions, summer festivals, and the upcoming fall season, and we are planning for, the next special issue, to be published in the Winter of 1998-99, a ten-year index to the journal. Western European Stages (ISSN 1050-1991) is published three times a year, in the Winter, Spring and Fall Subscriptions are $15.00 for each calendar year. Foreign subscriptions require an additional $5.00 for postage.
