Introduction/Main Teaching/Mental Oral Starter: (Include timings) T to present a time capsule from a mummy Contains make up, jewels, Figure of a God, papyrus, paints, scarab, cat, boat T to explain that they found a time capsule in their back garden and need the help of the children to find out where it's from. What can you tell about her already, from the objects? Ch to brainstorm what they already know in groups 3 and how they knew. Create learning wall- What they already know

Key Questions/Vocabulary/sentence structures: Where do you think shes from? How long ago do you think she lived? What are the identifying features?

Activity: Ch to generate questions from the objects (mixed ability) (Include timings) Each table has a selection of objects. Children to explore the different objects and form questions to begin their enquiry. Children to write questions about what they want to find out.
